Day Fourty-Two: Flowers in her hair

I found this flower pin in my jewelry and decided to try it out on one of her head bands. Surprise, Surprise...it's adorable. I bought an array of silk flowers that day so I could make many more.

Day Fourty through Fourty-One: Tummy Aches

I don't remember what day this picture was taken. I do remember this week she was really fighting those pesky tummy aches. Poor little doll. We tried many positions to make it feel better, and finally found this one.

Day Thirty-Nine: Hands

I love all the cute things she does with her hands: this for instance is my favorite way to watch her sleep, with her hands cupped together. It usually means she was clinging to one of us when she fell asleep and didn't want to let go.

Day Thirty-Eight: Outdoors time.

While Jace mowed the lawn and cleaned the deck, we had a little outdoors time in the grass.

Day Thirty-Seven: Happy First Father's Day!

It was a Happy First Father's day for my dear sweet Jacey. Saturday night I filled up our Kitchen with all of his favorite snacks, and I mean ALL-OF-THEM. Drinks, chips, red vines, ice cream. He was giddy with excitement.  I also bought this adorable blue dress that Jace saw at the store and wanted so badly to buy for Jadyn. Sunday morning I made him breakfast in bed, Jacey style: A chicken salad sandwich and fruit. Any leftovers would have done; pizza, lasagna, but we had a bowl of chicken salad, and along with leftovers for breakfast his very favorite is chicken salad. I put a card on his computer and made his desktop background a picture of him and Jadyn, then I promised him a new white hat to replace his not-so white-anymore hat. I also dressed Jadyn in the blue dress.
He gave a talk in church on the Love of our Heavenly Father. It was such an emotional roller coaster for me to hear him tell everyone with tears in his eyes what it felt like to see his daughter for the first time. He really does love our little bug. She really does love him. She loves his voice. She used to follow it when I was pregnant with her. She loves his big daddy arms and his scruffy face kisses.
I am beginning to see what true happiness is. I believe no one really has felt it unless they have felt the love of a parent, from both perspectives. I now have a glimpse of what my Father in Heaven feels for me as his child, and it makes me happy.
Happy Father's Day my wonderful husband. You deserve it!

As a side note: We got Jadyn a "Gym". It's a mat that they lay on that has toys above them. We put her in it at least once a day. All we have to do is turn her towards the star. She stares at that star for amazing amounts of time and then falls asleep facing it. The other day I had a half hour of free time while she examined her star.

Day Thirty-Six: Spring Cleaning

I can't really remember much happening Saturday. I know Jace and I cleaned ALOT! We got rid of every inch of dust in the basement. Jadyn has been totally stuffed up the past couple days. I felt so bad. She couldn't breathe. All she wanted to do was sleep. So while we cleaned, she just laid in the middle of the room in her bouncer and slept the boogers away. It seemed to do the trick.

Day Thirty-Five: Make-up!

I did my hair and put on make-up today! It was the first day that I didn't do the quick throw on mascara trick. I actually felt worthy of my husband taking me out on a date that night: Toy Story 3...it was ADORABLE.

Jadyn was also looking especially cute this morning.
P.S. She grabs EVERYTHING now. She hates getting her clothes changed, so every morning she puts up a good fight for her nighty. Also, my hair: it's her new security blanket. If she ever gets mad, anxious, or sad...my hair is gonna get a good tugging. My mom warned me that soon she would start pulling her own hair and blame it on me. She did that yesterday. She screamed. She didn't know she was pulling her hair. Poor thing.

Day Thirty-Four: Awww...

This morning she fell asleep on my chest as I was burping her. An hour or so later I decided it was time to attempt to finish getting ready for the day. She did not want to let go of me, but I was able to pry myself from her death grip...The blanket did not get away. She clung to the blanket like this for the rest of her nap.
